 India's Jennifer Lopez Sameera
Reddy is sister of VJs Sushma and Meghna Reddy who
first came into limelight with Pankaj Udhaas' music
video Ahista.
Sameera's acting debut was opposite Sohail Khan in the
film Maine Dil Tujhko Diya. Though the film was not a
success, Sameera work was appreciated and she got a
chance to work with Ram Gopal Varma in Darna Mana Hai.
Sameera Reddy has come a long way from the simple
actress in her debut film to become the latest sex
symbol of the Hindi film industry. Lot of credit goes to
Sanjay Gupta who cast her in Musafir and then Plan, a
film that he produced.
Sameera
is however slowly trying to move away from her sexy
image. She recently worked in a Bengali film
Kaalpurush that is directed by Buddadev Dasgupta. She is
also acting in Meera Nair's short film on AIDS called
The Migration.
Sameera's
forthcoming commercial releases include Race which is
being directed by Abbas Mastan and Anees Bazmi's Benaam. |
