Gayatri is a B.com graduate from Sydenham College,
Mumbai. Gayatri began her modelling career in 1996
when she was still at college. Hungry for a change
she tried her hands at the Femina Miss India beauty
pageant. Gayatri was chosen to represent India at
the Miss International in Japan last year (2000).
Though she didn´t win the crown, it was a tremendous
learning experience for her as she continually seeks
to reinvent herself.
Her
modelling assignments include the famous Hyundai ad with
Shahrukh Khan and other ads for LG, Godrej Coloursoft,
Sunsilk Fruitamin, Ponds, Philips, Bombay Dyeing,
Siyaram and Oxenberg, Colgate, Cadbury Perk, Ponds and
Boro Natural. She appeared in music videos of Jagjit
Singh´s "Sagar Ki Kashti" and Hansraj Hans, "Jhanjaria".
Gayatri has also modelled for Seasons catalogue and

Thus Gayatri is all set to be here in the modelling
world. At a time when most models are using the
profession to embark on a lucrative career in films,
Gayatri not al all interested to enter that field. The
soft spoken and comely young woman says that she will
continue to model "as long as it lasts." And then she
wants to study ´packaging and design´ as consumer and
cosmetics products and beautifully packed materials have
always attracted her.
