who won the prestigious Miss Asia Pacific title
at the beauty pageant held on 2 December 2000, in
Manila.
Seen
for the first time in a deglamorized, serious role of a
journalist in Shootout at Lokhandwala, Dia Mirza made
her debut opposite Madhavan in the film Rehna Hai Tere
Dil MeinDiya in 2001. Though the film was not a big hit,
Dia left her mark and was soon flooded with
offers. From Parineeta to Dus and Munna Bhai Lage
Raho to Tehzeeb, Dia has been accepted by the audience
in all her roles. Her forthcoming film is action caper
Cash which also stars Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan, Ritesh
Deshmukh and is directed by Anubhav Sinha. |
