Recently,
Inderpal from Canada
had the pleasure of interviewing one of the
best up and coming stars on the desi music
scene at the moment, namely 'Kam Bhamra.' He
has recently released his 2nd album called
Goldrush. Hailing from Handsworth in
Birmingham which is the bhangra capital of the
UK. He is fast making a name for himself as a
very talented man.
Started singing in 1994 as I spent a lot of
time around a close family
Friend, Balwinder Safri. Going to gigs,
concerts and shows, listening to his vocal
talent I began practicing, and eventually I
did some backing vocals for the Safri boys. I
saw the amazing response the Safri boys got
from their fans and just simply wanted to
follow in their footsteps (nothing serious at
the time though!).
The response was pretty good on that album
having many mixed opinions, however, learning
from my mistakes, I'm quietly confident Gold
Rush will do me justice.
To cut a long story short it was a name my
granddad once called me (mera soneh warga
munda. Nuff Love n respect may he Rest in
peace.
