nightingale of Punjab. However, not just as the
mother’s daughter, 54-year-old Dolly Guleria has
come into her own in Punjabi folk singing both India
and abroad. Bestowed with honours such as Minar-e-Pakistan
and Punjab Di Dhi.
Born
on Baisakhi Day in Mumbai, Dolly took classical training from Ustad "Khan Sahib" Abdul Rehman Khan, of "Patiala Gharana" and moved into the field of Folk singing.
Starting at 16 with AIR,
two years later she cut her first album Gurbani
with her mother.
Dolly is a well traveled person and has been all over India and foreign countries like UK, Holland, Canada, USA, Pakistan and the middle east entertaining Punjabi Music
