 With impressive playback numbers to her credit and an inspiring musical lineage, Shweta Pandit is the new face of
Indi-pop.
SHE GREW up listening to Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhonsle, Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi and dotes on Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears. At the age of five she worked with Ilayaraja for Anjali and recently with Ustad Zakir Hussain for Saaz.
And with Ankhen khuli from Mohabbatein and title track for Aap mujhe ache lagne lage to her credit, plus playback for the forthcoming Soch and Haasil, Shweta Pandit currently is the new face in the Indi-pop industry. Celebrating life, the 16-year-old just did that with her debut album Mein zindagi hoon. |
