A multifaceted talent Avadhoot Gupte struck
platinum with his debut album as composer. "Aika
Dajiba", the album was not only composed by
him but 5 of the 8 songs were also written
by this talented youngster who started his
career as a sound recordist a couple of
years back.
His career as a sound recordist came to an
early end, when his compositions started
getting their due recognition. In his
initial years Avadhoot has composed hundreds
of jingles, TV serial titles, corporate
themes and film backgrounds. Until one fine
day Sagarika music recognized his talent and
launched him as a singer/ composer in their
Marathi album 'Paus'.
His next step was, the big challenge of
composing a complete Indi-Pop album for
another debutante artiste Vaishali Samant.
Avadhoot excelled again when he composed and
wrote the song "Aika Dajiba" which has managed
to create a completely new trend in the world
of Indi-Pop - "The Indi-Marathi Combo Music". Indi-pop songs with a Marathi punch line. A
new genre of music.
In short - this young composer has started
setting trends in the Indian music scene with
his creativity and ability to experiment with
different kinds of music. His study of Indian
folk music coupled with his awareness of the
latest international music patterns gives his
music a unique fresh quality.
Avadhoots career as a singer started when he
won the national level competition of TVS sa
re ga ma. Since then he has lent his voice to
various Hindi and Marathi numbers. His first
basic Marathi album being "Paus" - a duet
album with Vaishali Samant followed by "Hi
Saanj Sukhane".
Avadhoot talents don't end at composing, song
writing and singing. He has also proved his
mettle as an arranger. From soft instrumental
to remixes Avadhoot has done them all and with
the same amount of creativity and expertise.
