What do you say of a wonder kid who was featured on the BBC at the age of nine due to his piano-playing histrionics. Today Adnan Sami is today not only the top name in Indi-pop but also is a name to reckon with in Hindi film playback singing.

Adnan Sami Khan was born on 15, August 1973 in Britain where he completed his most of the education. His father Shaher Yar Khan was a Pakistani Diplomat and mother Nauren was an Indian. He started
playing Piano from the age of five and started composing from the age of nine. Adnan Sami was motivated to be a musician by Asha Bhosle who spotted his talent in an R D Burman concert in London at a tender age of 10. After his short meeting with the melody queen he moved on to learn Indian classical music from renowned Pakistani classical teacher Mahraj Khatak and Santoor maestro, Pundit Shivkumar Sharma. He later went on to graduate from the University of London where he developed his musical style and technique on the Piano. He evolved a new sound which he pioneered and ultimately introduced to the world thus becoming the first person to play Indian Classical music on the electric Piano.

Adnan Sami's first album was Kabhi To Nazar Milao and featured Asha Bhonsle. The album sold over a million copies and established Adnan Sami as a force to reckon with in the world of Indi-pop. The album bagged the number one position in the music charts for 78 weeks and featured hit track like Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein among others.

His second release Tera Chehra firmly established Sami as the undisputed emperor of Indi-pop. The album was hug success and featured top actresses like Rani Mukherjee, Ameesha Patel, Aarti Chabaria in the videos. The hit track Kabhi Nahi featured Amitabh Bachchan.

Adnan Sami also branched into playback singing and sang for films like Ajnabi, Awara Pagal Deewana, Taxi No 9211, Joggers Park, Garam Masala among others. With Salman Khan starrer Lucky - No Time For Love, Adnan Sami gave music for the film for the first time. The music was big hit.

Sami recently released his third album Kisi Din. He slated to make his acting debut in Bela Sehgal's film.
