 Rakhi Sawant's sultry figure and big eyes have made
her a constant pin up with millions of admirers
throughout India. A contestant on the first season
of reality show Big Boss, Rakhi Sawant became part
of national news because of her kissing scandal with
Mikka in 2006.
An arts student with Mithibai
College, Rakhi shot to fame when she was still in
school, when Bollywood director Suneel Darshan cast her
as an Item Number opposite Govinda in Joru Ka Ghulam.
Three years later she auditioned four times before
winning her breakthrough Item number Mohabbat hai Mirchi
in Chura Liya Hai Tumne in 2003.
Since then Rakhi has firmly
established as the empress of item numbers. She has done
item numbers in films like Malamaal Weekly, Ek Khiladi
Ek Haseena, Mumbai Express and music videos for songs
that include Pardesia among others. She released
Supergirl her debut album as a singer recently.
Post Big Boss, Rakhi Sawant can
be seen judging comedy show on Sony. From just being an
item girl, Rakhi Sawant today as evolved into a sought
after media personality. Her changed in stature can be
judged from the fact that she recently made an
appearance on Karan Johar's talk show Coffee with Karan. |
