veejay Peeya Rai Chowdhary has been seen
in quite a few films like Bhoot, Chupke
Se, Darna Mana Hai and
Vaastushastra. But what she is
really known is for as Lakhi Bakshi,
Aishwarya's kid sister in Gurinder
Chadha's Bride & Prejudice.
Peeya's
break as Channel V happened when she was acting in the Zee TV serial `Hip Hip
Hurray. Her co-stars, Suchitra Pillai and
Vinay Pathak, who were already Channel V VJs
asked her to audition for Channel V. She
along with another co-star Purab made
it.
Married
to model Shyan Munshi, Peeya whose first love
is theatre, has acted in a handful films
including Vastushatra, Bhoot, Darna Mana Hai,
My Brother Nikhil, Home Delivery. She is
eagerly awaiting the release of her film Bong
Connection that is currently doing the rounds
of film festivals. |
