For an Indian Sardarni Kudi living in
Germany, Mink was always very interested in
Indian films. As a child, both she and her brother
dreamt of coming to Mumbai and joining the movies.
This dream came true when Veteran filmmaker Dev
Anand discovered Mink when she was just a teenager.
Pyar Ka Tarana was her debut movie and soon,
Mink shifted bag and baggage to India to pursue her
dream. But though she was appreciated very
much in the film, it didn’t do well and her career
never took off the way she intended it to.
Today, Mink is known more for her dancing than her
acting. Watch her in Jaspinder Narula’s video, Kuch
kuch dil mein and you know she has promise. She’s
also done dance numbers in Doli Sajake Rakhna, Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain,
Baadal and Pitaah.
Over the last few years Mink has started staying away
from item numbers and is concentrating on acting
assignments.
