London, Mahek was a part of
the Gladrags Mega Model Contest and figured among
the top five.
Born to Indian
(Sikh) parents in Oslo, Mahek is a successful model and
has done numerous advertisements for brands like Bombay
Dying, Fevicol, Godrej among others. She made her Hindi
film debut with the film Nayi Padosan. The film was a
moderate success but failed to move Mahek's career. She
was finally noticed when she did an item number in
Sudhir Mishra's Chameil. The song Sajna Ve Sajna was
huge hit. Her popularity in NRI market increased as she
essayed the role of Lisa in the super hit Punjabi film
Dil Apna Punjabi.
