Natyalaya), Rama has been noted as one of India's
top young exponents of Bharata Natyam. He is also
a trained Carnatic music vocalist. Rama Vaidyanathan has been
performing regularly for the past 20 years in India
and abroad.
For Rama, dance is more than just a profession. It
is a means to expressing the inner quest for
self-realization. While she aspires to use her dance
as a medium to come closer to the supreme truth, she
also intends to address several contemporary issues
that ail mankind. Rama proposes to take up several
cross cultural issues and propagate the same using
the divine dance form of Bharatanatyam in her
attempt to perpetuate world peace.
