Shivaraj Kumar or Shivarajkumar (born Putta Swamy on 12 July 1962) is an Indian film actor, producer, playback singer, philanthropist and television presenter best known for his work in Kannada cinema[1] He is the oldest son of the Kannada thespian Dr. Rajkumar. During his career spanning more than three decades, Kumar has acted in more than 100 films

After graduating in Bachelor of Science (Chemistry), Kumar made his debut screen appearance in Singeetham Srinivas Rao's Anand (1986). His first three movies Anand, Rathasapthami and Mana Mechchida Hudugi all completed Silver Jubilee thus earning him the title Hatrick Hero – Shivaraj Kumar.His movies such as Jogi and Om are considered cult milestones and biggest blockbusters in the Kannada film industry.He started his acting career with the film Anand in 1986, which was a silver jubilee hit. In his career spanning over 25 years, he acted in a variety of roles. A number of his movies completed silver jubilee. The most notable movies of his career are Janumada Jodi, Jogi, Anand, Rathasapthami, Nammoora Mandara Hoove, Om, and Chigurida Kanasu.He also acted in Sugreeva, which was shot in 18 hours. His Om, directed by Upendra, set a trend of gangster movies in Kannada and other film industries in India.

Shivaraj Kumar has won four Filmfare and four state awards in the best actor category. He has also won numerous Cine-Express, Sirigannada, ETV awards. He has been conferred titles like 'Hatrick Hero', 'Century Star', Shivanna,""Sandalwood King"", among others.
